Avery got a kitchen - a very pink kitchen - for her birthday and she loves it!
With her talking more and more it has been wonderful to hear the sweet things she says. "I love you, mommy" is obviously my favorite - something she now says on her own, without me saying it first. She calls chapstick "cacksick" and chocolate milk "chocky" milk. Gabe is "Gabie" and Dylan is "Din". To most words she has added and "ee" sound at the end, so I am surprised that she doesn't call him "Dilly". But we have forky, bibby, sockies, bookies, etc. Once, I hurt my finger trying to open a box and I said "Crap!" and she of course, immediately says "Crap!" followed directly by "Crappy!" Kind of funny! And that brings us to the part about her repeating everything, as all kids do. There is a song out right now that the boys sing called "I'm Sexy and I Know It" - it's bad enough that they have even heard this song - at least it is meant to be silly - but for them to sing it around the house...and then to hear my baby girl sing "sexy and I know it"...!
She is a bit fickle in her affections for her stuffed animals and dolls. For months she slept with her squishy giraffe that her grandpa give her and then all of a sudden she wanted nothing to do with it! Next was her tiny polar bear that Santa put in her stocking, but now that he is missing all she wants is a panda bear she got for her first birthday. She said this morning that she loved him! Cute. It is the same with her "blankies" they are always in rotation - you never know which has made the cut for the day!
She hugs me so tightly - wrapping her arms around my neck and her legs around my chest - I call it her "monkey hug". Then there are the hundreds of kisses she gives everyday - I am such a lucky mommy!
Her new snow gear - Daddy picked it out!
