Does anyone else have this problem?

I just spent a good deal of time writing out birthday invitations for Gabe's upcoming 5th (!!!) birthday party. And as I wrote, I noticed I have a real issue writing some letters. I just cannot do it well - the kicker for me was the "Cheese's" in Chuck E. Cheese's. (Yes, we are having the party there, but that is a whole different issue!) Anyway, all those e's - ick. I just can't do them well. And - ugh - I live in Chesapeake - I hate writing that one out, too. It's the same with 5's. They look completely messed up when I write them - and oh, when there is a 5 and an s by each other, like in an address - forget about it! I can't tell you how happy I am that I no longer have to send stuff to my mom at 4705 South!!!

Am I alone in this?!

That is hilarious that you would bring this up! I have been telling Trent over the last few months that I need to start practicing my penmanship like I did in grade school! I have an awful time with w, r and several combinations. I attribute this to my focus on typing these days- which I have become very good at, but which has caused my penmanship to suffer.

Life's too short, Kristen! LOL
Do what *I* would do, and print the invitations out on the computer!

Too short indeed--especially for those of us who qualify for that Freudian term (yeah, you know the one...) and can't seem to accept anything we do unless it's "perfect." Of course NOTHING is EVER even CLOSE to perfection, so hour after hour is wasted in a vain attempt at the impossible.

All that effort does make us better in the long run, they say. Right. All I can see that it does is keep the laxative companies in business.

Seriously though, realizing my complete inability to reach perfection through my own efforts does serve one invaluable purpose: it reminds me of and points me toward the One who IS perfect, in whom lies all my hope for ever amounting to anything.

Okay, okay - I get it! I'm a freak!! But we all knew that...

But thanks for backing me up, Janie! ;o) I can't do m's and n's in cursive very well at all, but apparently life is too short to worry about it! :o)

Well, I don't have exactly the same problem, but there are some words I always have a hard time spelling, and I am an excellent speller! Drives me crazy! I have to really concentrate or get out a dictionary. One of the words is "necessary". you notice I finally have it right after all these years, but there are others that actually stop me in my tracks when I am typing along> Mom
